Owning a Mascani Dog
Whether you want to show, compete in a sport such as IGP or agility, or if you are looking for a faithful, go anywhere companion, a Mascani dog can fulfil all three. The combination of careful breeding has resulted in dogs with strong conformity, great temperaments and an ability to work as well accompany you to your favourite restaurant or pub
When your Mascani Dog Joins your family, you join ours
We interview prospective owners and we expect them to interview us. If and when, both are happy that a Mascani dog is right for you, we make a mutual commitment to one another.
Of course, there is a contract that has all that you expect within it. But this is personal for us. When you have a dog from us, we are there alongside you throughout the dog’s life.
Your puppy package includes:
-
a six week puppy training programme
-
Kennel Club registration
-
a full family history
-
your puppy will be microchipped
-
your puppy will have had a first vets appointment and will have been wormed.
-
We will provide your first collar and lead
-
We will provide some food that will see you through the first 24 hours to provide consistency
-
A crate
Your puppy will be well on the way to being crate trained and you can expect your puppy to mostly go through the night without accidents. Your puppy will have been brought up in a family home. It will have been socialised well, exposed to a variety of noises, smells and experiences. It will be used to being handled and will have been exposed to cats, a large tortoise and a parrot!
Although your puppy will join you at between 8 and 10 weeks of age, we would hope that you will have already spent time with your puppy, as we encourage and support contact via visits to us where you will also meet your puppies mum and dad.
We talked about commitment. We hope and anticipate that when your dog joins you that you and your dog will have a decade or more of a loving relationship together. We also recognise that despite everyone’s best efforts sometimes life deals a hand that fundamentally changes your circumstances. In the event that this does occur, our commitment is to take your dog back. The commitment we ask from you, is that you always talk to us in the first instance and that you agree to bring your dog back to us in the sad event that your circumstances have changed. Our dogs are special and we have an extensive network of Mascani “affiliates” as well as a waiting list.
